Construction and installation of the monitoring stations
Work Package: 4: Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University Kaiserslautern-Landau – Department of Building Systems and Building TechnologyIn Work Package 4, a monitoring system is being developed to enable the monitoring of indoor conditions. In order to achieve this objective, the following parameters are to be monitored: air temperature, radiation temperature, relative humidity, and air velocity in the room. The measuring stations, designated as CoMoS (Comfort Monitoring Stations), will be installed in various institutions where particularly vulnerable individuals are present. In each country of the Greater Region, several institutions have been selected for this purpose, as they are also strategic partners in the Adapt project. A total of approximately 50 CoMoS monitoring stations will be constructed and distributed. This activity is being led by the RPTU and included a workshop for all project partners at the beginning of the project, during which all the knowledge required to build their own measuring stations was disseminated.
The measurement data from the CoMoS stations will be transferred to a data platform and analyzed there. All data security and data protection requirements will be strictly observed. In the event that the analysis indicates the presence of critical conditions within the rooms, warning notifications and recommendations for action will be transmitted to residents via a smartphone application. The smartphone app is being developed as part of Work Package 5.
